OkayPC

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

This policy explains what information OkayPC (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, by email, when you buy OkayPC, and in the OkayPC app.

The short version

  • The checkup runs on your PC. What it finds stays on your PC.
  • OkayPC never sends us the websites you visit, your files, photos, passwords or personal details.
  • This website uses no cookies, ads or tracking tools.
  • Payments are handled by our reseller. Your card details never reach us.
  • Paid OkayPC sends your license key and an anonymous code for your PC to us when you unlock it, and once a week to check the key.
  • If you set up family emails, we get the family member’s address, the name you give the PC, and simple facts like whether each check was okay. They say yes first, and either of you can stop them.

1. This website

okaypc.com has no accounts, cookies, ads or tracking tools. Two services help show it to you:

2. When you email us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and your message. We use them to read your message and reply to you. We don’t sell your address or share it with anyone for their marketing.

3. When you buy OkayPC

Purchases are handled by our reseller, Stripe (shown at checkout as Link), which collects your email address, billing country and payment details to take the payment, charge the right tax and send your receipt. Your card details go to the reseller and never reach us. The reseller shares with us what we need to provide OkayPC, such as your email address, country and order details. The reseller’s own privacy policy also applies.

To give you your license key, our license service (which runs on Cloudflare) keeps your email address, your order number, your key, and the codes of the PCs it unlocked with the dates they did. We email the key to you through an email delivery service, Resend, which handles your address and the email only to deliver it. The thank-you page after checkout shows the key for your order. If you use Find my key, we use the address you type only to look up your keys and email them to it.

To stop these pages being misused, the license service briefly keeps scrambled codes made from your network address and from any email address typed into Find my key (never the addresses themselves), and deletes them within about a day.

4. The OkayPC app

The checkup runs on your PC and only reads information, such as whether Windows Security and the firewall are on, which apps start with Windows, and which websites your browser lets send notifications. What it finds stays on your PC. It doesn’t send your files, photos, documents, browsing history, passwords or personal details to us. A short history of past checkups (the date, and whether each check was okay) is kept on your PC, and removed when you uninstall OkayPC.

Unlocking paid OkayPC sends your license key and a code for your PC to our license service. The code is made from your PC’s Windows ID with a one-way scramble: it can’t be turned back into the ID, and we use it only to keep each key to 2 PCs. After that, OkayPC works without the internet. About once a week, when your PC is online, it sends the key and the code again to check the key is still good (for example, that it wasn’t refunded) and that this PC is still one of its 2.

Some things you can choose connect your PC to other companies: Fix it can ask Windows Update and Windows Security to get updates from Microsoft, Help from family opens Microsoft’s Quick Assist, and buttons that open websites take you to them in your browser. Their own privacy policies apply.

Checkups and alerts run on your PC: once a day, while you have them on, Windows starts a quick OkayPC check that only reads information. What it finds stays on your PC, unless you set up family emails.

5. Family emails

Family emails are part of paid OkayPC and are off until you set them up. When you do, OkayPC sends our license service the family member’s email address and the name you give the PC. We email them once to ask. Nothing else is sent unless they press “Yes, send them” on okaypc.com, and the question is deleted after 7 days if they don’t.

Once they say yes, OkayPC sends us only fixed facts about the PC: after each monthly checkup, each check’s name and whether it was okay, worth a look or needs attention; and when something important changes, which kind of change it was (for example, Windows Security switched off) and, for a remote access app, the app’s name. We write the emails from those facts and send them through Resend. We never get the websites visited, files, passwords or personal details.

We keep the family member’s address, the PC’s name, and when notes and alerts were sent, so there is at most one note a month and three alerts a month. They can stop the emails from any of them, and you can stop them in OkayPC. When they stop them, we delete their address and keep only a scrambled code of it, so OkayPC with that key can’t ask them again. When you stop them, when the purchase is refunded, when the key moves to another PC, or when no note has been sent for 3 months (for example, OkayPC was removed from the PC), we delete everything about them. Removing OkayPC also deletes the address from the PC.

6. Children

OkayPC is not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may give you further rights. We keep emails only as long as we need them for the reasons above.

8. Changes to this policy

We’ll update the date at the top whenever this policy changes. Our Terms of Use explain the rest of our agreement with you.

9. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].
