Terms of Use
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and OkayPC (“we”, “us”) about the OkayPC app, free and paid, and this website. By downloading, installing or using OkayPC, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use OkayPC.
The short version
- The checkup only looks. Nothing on your PC changes unless you choose a fix.
- You choose every fix, and you are responsible for your PC. Back up anything important.
- OkayPC is provided “as is”, with no promise that it will work perfectly on your PC.
- Paid OkayPC is paid once, works on 2 PCs, and includes every future update. Not for you? A full refund within 14 days.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what count.
1. What OkayPC does
OkayPC looks over your Windows PC and explains what it finds in plain words, with free steps to fix each thing yourself. The checkup only reads information; it changes nothing. Paid OkayPC adds one-click fixes (Fix it), a monthly checkup and alerts, and family emails. Depending on what you choose, Fix it can turn off apps that start with Windows, remove temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, switch on Storage Sense, the firewall or Windows Security’s virus list update, start Windows Update or restart your PC, run the uninstaller of a remote access app, clear print jobs, and change sign-in or printer settings. It shows exactly what will change before it starts, and Windows asks your permission for changes that need it.
2. Your responsibilities
You use OkayPC at your own risk. You are responsible for:
- Backing up your files, photos and anything else important.
- Having permission. Only use OkayPC on a PC you own, or on one whose owner has agreed. If you look after a family member’s PC, you take on these responsibilities for them.
- Choosing the fixes. Read what will change before you press the button.
- Knowing your own passwords. For example, only ask Windows to require your password at start if you know it.
3. What Undo can and can’t do
Some fixes can be undone in OkayPC, such as apps turned off at startup, Storage Sense, sign-in and the default printer. Others can’t, and OkayPC says so before you start: removed files, an emptied Recycle Bin, cancelled print jobs and uninstalled apps can’t be put back. Windows updates can also change settings later. We don’t promise that Undo will put your PC back exactly as it was.
4. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use OkayPC under these terms.
- The free version may be used at no charge on PCs you own or have permission to use.
- Paid OkayPC is unlocked with a license key on up to 2 PCs: yours and one family member’s. If you replace a PC or reinstall Windows, you may move it to the new one, at most once every 90 days.
- Every future update of OkayPC is included at no extra charge.
You may not sell, rent, share or publish your license key, change or copy the app to get around the license, or use OkayPC to provide paid services to others without our written permission. We keep all rights not given to you here. Your license ends automatically if you break these terms.
5. Payment and refunds
Paid OkayPC costs the price shown at checkout and is paid once. There is no subscription. Purchases are made through our reseller, which handles checkout, payment, sales tax and receipts. The reseller’s own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Not for you? You can have a full refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason: reply to your key email or write to [email protected]. When a purchase is refunded or disputed, its key stops working. PCs it unlocked go back to the free version at their next weekly check while online, so within about a week. This doesn’t limit any refund the law requires, or a refund our reseller decides to give under its buyer terms.
6. No warranty
OkayPC is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that OkayPC will find every problem, work on your PC, be free of errors, keep your PC or information safe, or give the results you want. OkayPC is not an antivirus program: it checks that Windows Security is on, and it can’t stop every scam or threat.
7. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, money, time or use of your PC, that comes from using OkayPC or from not being able to use it, even if we were told it could happen. Our total liability for any claim about OkayPC is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Where that happens, our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
8. Claims by others
If someone else makes a claim against us because of how you used OkayPC, for example the owner of a PC you changed without their permission, you agree to cover our resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.
9. Support and changes
You can write to [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help, but we don’t promise a reply time. We may change OkayPC, or stop offering it, at any time. If we release an update, these terms apply to it too.
10. Other software and services
OkayPC works with software and services from other companies, such as Microsoft Windows, Windows Security, Windows Update, Quick Assist, web browsers and the apps on your PC. Each comes with its own terms. We are not affiliated with these companies and are not responsible for their software or services. OkayPC is not made, endorsed or supported by Microsoft.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using OkayPC after an update, the new terms apply.
12. The rest
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about OkayPC. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms or your license to anyone else.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them will be decided by the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
